	We are in the process of setting up the John Sweeney Friends of Rockwood Scholarship to the University of Delaware Center for Material Culture Studies. John Sweeney, who was a loyal and devoted member of The Friends of Rockwood for many years, passed away on May 17, 2007. This scholarship is to honor his great contribution to Rockwood Museum. "As I look back, there is a thread that runs through my musings about my career - from undergraduate days to post-retirement counseling of historic house boards - and that is the sense of being part of something wonderful; not a network, not a club, but belonging to a movement that is worthwhile, and this involves the sophisticated study of the American arts."
